
GWDC has been grown as a Mecca for development of women resources through the IT education business, E-learning for women, supporting the women¢®?s business and establishing the information infra since its opening in 1997. As a result, it has been evaluated as a worldwide model of women resources development in the knowledge-information society as being selected as an excellent example of Gender Empowerment through IT by UNESCO, 2001.

- Providing an Educational System without the Limits of Time and Space : Women in 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-do can use online education both at home and work without the limits of time and space by establishing the e-learning system specialized for women for development of woman resources for the first time in the nation.
- Operating On-off Line Integrated Blended Education : Establishing a blended education system that connects precedent online learning with in-depth offline education (regional base centers).
- Operating CDP (Career Development Program) : Establishing a system providing information on systematic technology and knowledge required by stage through offering women-friendly career management in IT and management fields and tailored education design service.
- Expanding Online Education for National Women in Cooperation with Ministry of Gender Equality : Providing 93 education contents to national women through the nation's best women e-learning education system recognized by the government.

- OReinforcing Specialty through Nongovernmental Joint Partnership : Improving quality of education by introducing entrustment method for courses, and reflecting needs of trainees by introducing a feedback-centered assessment system.

Unique Operation based on Feminism : Focusing on the development of human resources for married women and enhancing employment rate and job adaptability after attending courses with operation of a women career building program through life-cycle perspective approach for the first time in the nation from 1997.

Supporting Continuous Growth and Development : 1,456 IT persons from September 1997 to 2007 and among them 907 persons (62.3%) attained successful employment or foundation. In particular, employment rates of trainees of project courses in 2006 and 2007 were 93.9% and 92.3%, respectively.
- One-stop Women Business Support
- Nation's First Women Business Support Room and the Highest Success Rates : With six resident companies at first in 1999, 95 companies have been supported and 78 companies have become independent, and among them 38 companies have been successful in independent management as of May 2008. (48.7%)

Know-how of Operating Specialized Business Education : In addition to provision of physical business environment and support for participation in outside exhibitions, operates business related education programs such as management, accounting, marketing and know-how of foundation for prospective business women and business women in the initial stage.

Establishing Women Business Network : Providing consulting for management, tax affairs and accounting through connecting with external organizations, and establishing business support network with women CEOs.

Economic Empowerment of Women : Total sales during incubation period of the resident companies were 33.3 billion and 80 million won, 920 new jobs were created, participation in the final round of Women Business Competition and consecutive prize-winning.
- Establishment of DB for Gyeonggi Comprdhensive Women Knowledge and information and Extablishment of an Efficient information Distribution System
- Operating Women Knowledge and Information Hub 'WOMENPRO' : A women information hub in Gyeonggi-do that collects information useful for women and posts the information on 9 real-time information boards. It is a comprehensive women information network both in name and reality by providing useful information in the province to DB and guiding the information center. In addition, it provides information on the vision and projects of the Center.

Publishing Gyeonggi Women Information Webzine [WoORI] : As the nation's first cyber women policy information magazine (web magazine), it contains information useful for women in sections like Gyeonggi-do's Women Policy (province, cities and counties), Women Policy Home and Abroad, Special Articles, Five Different Opinions, Work and Dream, Gyeongging, Learning Space, Knowledge Center, etc. in order to lead active social participation of Gyeonggi women and provide useful information. The monthly magazine aims at a society with gender equality.

Gyeonggi Women Information Mailing Service : Information on women from related organization in Gyeonggi-do is provided via individual e-mailing on a regular basis one a week. Those who want the mailing service can apply at the Center homepage, webzines, etc.

Gyeonggi Women Calendar : Collects events, education and news related with women in Gyeonggi-do and provides in the form of a calendar. Interested information can be easily looked for and timely information can be exchanged.

Providing a model for developing female human resources :Our center has been included in the UN¡¯s DB directory. We are providing know-how information about our operation so that women in the world could model on our center.
- GWDC Being Reported as the Excellent Model of women IT on the Report of UN Commission onte status of Women
- GWDC was introduced as a Korean example of ¡®Using IT for women¡¯s economic Empowerment¡¯ on the report of UN Commission on the Status of Women in March, 2003 that presented the GWDC¡¯s activities for women¡¯s economic empowerment such as long-term IT training and running the supporting office for starting business.

- We have presented a case in which the female IT experts training and the business start-up support for women have contributed to achieving gender equality in the information society.

- GWDC held the international forum on ICT and Gender for WSIS, UN with the experts from the international institutions related to women¡¯s rights and interests in June 2005 and through this forum the issue of ICT and Gender was discussed and the Declaration for WSIS was selected.

- Presented the ¡®Women¡¯s Socio-economic Empowerment¡¯ in May 2006.

- The Committee of the Gender Quality Education composed of 18 member institutions of central and provincial government institutions was established for suggesting new models of gender equality and for spreading the awareness of gender equality in our society through the exchange of the educational training information and studies with the organic cooperation system among the institutions of education and research, and GWDC also took part in this as a member institution
